There has never been a better time to pick up those needles and get them clacking! We’ll take you step by step through the basics, leaving you confident and wanting more!
Start by mastering the basic knit and purl stitches, casting on and off, then move on to garter and stocking stitch while becoming familiar with the needles (which you get to keep).
During the workshop you will knit a super useful cotton face cloth (or dish cloth), not only great for the environment but a perfect starters project to practice your knitting techniques. Made from 100% cotton, it will be soft to use and machine washable to be used over and over, just one step further in helping to reduce waste.
In no time you’ll find yourself knitting, not only in front of the TV, but in the park, on the bus, the possibilities are endless. We promise you’ll be addicted and we'll send you off with your knitting needles to continue your new found skill at home!
This workshop is suitable for complete beginners only and not for those who are ready to move on
Based at Clockwork in the heart of the Northern Quarter, you’ll be able to enjoy complimentary coffee and cake or any of the other hot and cold refreshments on offer!
